Who We Are

A Modern Hospital Built Around People, Not Paperwork

Medicare opened in 2000 as a twelve-bed neighbourhood clinic above a pharmacy. Today we are a 400-bed multi-specialty hospital with 24 departments — and the same rule still applies at every bedside.

We measure ourselves on outcomes and on how clearly we explain them. Every patient leaves with a written plan in plain language, a named point of contact, and a follow-up already booked.

  • Board-certified specialists in 24 departments
  • State-of-the-art MRI, CT and robotic surgery suites
  • Transparent pricing and an insurance support desk

What Drives Us

Our Mission, Vision & Values

Three commitments that decide how we hire, how we invest and how we treat every person who walks through the door.

Our Mission

To make high-quality specialist care reachable for every family in our region, regardless of income or insurance status.

Our Vision

A hospital where technology shortens waiting, never conversation — and where outcomes are published, not promised.

Our Values

Honesty about risk, dignity in every interaction, and the discipline to follow the evidence even when it is inconvenient.

Why Patients Choose Us

Care That Continues After Discharge

A treatment is not finished when you leave the ward. Our care coordinators stay with your case for 90 days after discharge.

We hold back a share of every consultant's daily schedule for urgent referrals, so an unexpected symptom does not become a three-week wait.

Imaging, pathology, prescriptions and consultation notes live in a single electronic record your whole care team can see — no repeating your history at each desk.

You receive a written estimate before any planned procedure, and our insurance desk handles pre-authorisation with your provider directly.

A named coordinator checks in by phone at day 7, day 30 and day 90, and can escalate you straight back to your consultant if something is not right.
